Background

Roi Nicklas, CEO of Israel’s first employee e-store for gifting services, partnered with Beehive to build a scalable platform designed to support 50,000+ daily users and deliver a seamless gifting experience. The platform supports physical products, vouchers, services, and more, allowing companies to reward employees through a direct purchasing system with end-to-end fulfillment and shipping.

Problem

This platform needed to serve 3 user types: internal admins, partner organizations, and end-user employees. It also had to offer a plethora of customization abilities and support over 200 unique features across these audiences, to meet the needs of different industries and regional preferences (gifts, budgets, branding, etc). In addition, the system had to handle secure user access, integrate with various payment providers, and offer robust analytics so companies could track engagement in real time.


Challenges

The product demanded a highly complex build, featuring multiple user interfaces, customizable experiences, and multilingual support, all of which needed to be delivered within a tight three-month timeline ahead of the holiday season ramp-up.

Solution

Beehive developed three user interfaces that together created a seamless gifting ecosystem. First, an internal admin dashboard was built for Nicklas employees, enabling them to onboard new companies, customize branded landing pages, and manage integrations with over 300+ suppliers. Second, a partner portal was designed for their partnered companies and nonprofits, allowing them to easily offer curated gifts to their employees. Finally, Beehive created a web app for the end users: the employees themselves. This user-friendly interface allowed recipients to browse, select, and redeem their gifts while receiving real-time updates on their orders.
