Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Who owns my code?

You own 100% of the work, code, and IP we build for you.

Why not hire an internal software development team?

Good question! For starters, the annual cost of a full-time senior software developer now exceeds $100,000 plus benefits (and good luck finding a good one). Using Beehive, you pay significantly less than that. You can also always scale up and down the service, pause, or even cancel it at any time, giving you the flexibility to only pay for what you actually need. Moreover, we also have professional managers who manage the work for you, saving precious time so you can focus on building your business!

What if I want to transfer the Beehive work to another team (internal or external)?

That’s not a problem at all. You can always let us know, and we’ll do a proper hand off of all the code and software that was written to another team. We also make sure ahead of time to document everything so any such hand off will be easy to do.

What programming languages and technologies does Beehive specialize in?

We specialize in a wide range of programming languages and technologies, including all the most commonly used languages and technologies in the market. Our favorites are typically Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, React Native, but each project has its own specific needs and we typically like to decide based on what will maximize your chances of success in the short & long term.

What is the process of working with Beehive on a project?

Typically, we start by initial scoping session(s) to discuss the project scope and requirements. Some of our clients prefer us to also design the user experience and user interface of the product, and if needed our product experts take care of that. Following this, we provide a proposal and contract agreement that includes a feature plan divided into two-week sprints. Before each sprint, we’ll let you know what’s up next for development, and at the end of each sprint we provide sprint summaries, so you always have full transparency about the process and can change priorities if the need arises.

How does Beehive ensure the quality of their deliverables?

Beehive has a rigorous quality assurance process in place to ensure that all deliverables meet high standards of quality and functionality. We built software before for healthcare and even heavily regulated medical applications, so quality assurance is a big part of our expertise.

Does Beehive provide ongoing support after a project is completed?

At Beehive, our commitment to your success doesn’t end when the project is complete. We offer comprehensive support services to ensure that your business continues to run smoothly and efficiently, long after the project is completed.

What is Beehive’s pricing structure?

Our pricing structure varies depending on the project scope and requirements. After we scope your project we will give you an exact price for all the different parts of the project. We can also work with you to stay within a pre-defined budget.

How long does it typically take to complete a project with Beehive?

That mainly depends on what you built, and can range from weeks to months typically. We typically cut more than half of the development time of most projects due to our proprietary technology. After we scope your project, we will give you an accurate timeline.

Does Beehive have experience with cloud-based solutions?

Absolutely. We have experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.

Can Beehive help me leverage AI and/or ChatGPT?

Definitely. We have a team of experts in machine learning and AI, including data science veterans from S&P 500 companies. Our team successfully built dozens of successful AI applications. We also have rich experience with ChatGPT and would be happy to help you leverage AI to get a substantial advantage over your competition.
